So, as we all know I use this car to teach driving out of. I must say I am happy with it now that I worked out most of the bugs! I was about to sell it, but I decided to hold on to it until I hit around 160 000 kms (in about 9 months).

The kids love the car, it's comfy, looks sharp and lots of room for the student who is 6 foot 3 inches!

So, tell me what you think about it.

Remember, it's a Driving School Car.EXTRAS:Rear spoilerHood/Bug DeflectorTinted window (silver tint)Painted the rear drumsVent VisorDual Brake (trust me, needed!) http://www.thedrivingschool.ca/pictsofcar.htm

Looks good. I see you painted the rear drums. You need to paint the calipers now.

I dig it, but is the silver tint really the best idea for teaching kids to drive?Either way, it looks cool. But like ^^ said, you gotta paint the front calipers.

those visors look really funny, cuz they dont go all the back over the small window.... but then again it takes forever for those to come in from japan.... im still waiting on my set.... that bug deflector really doesnt look that bad either, however i wouldnt put it on my V..... all in all, good job and keep up the good work....

Very nice!

Have you considered setting the theme with just the right hood ornament?

So I asked your target audience, a 15 1/2 year old with a driver's permit.

My daughter says the Versa is too slow - a strong vote for yes for the Versa. Her biggest complaint with the Versa is the speedometer and the way the increments are shown. The roomy seats are ideal. She wasn't too keen on the look, but perhaps it is because she is used to the look of the sedan. I think the sedan has a smaller blind spot out the rear corner.

My 16 year old daughter is the primary driver of our Versa. I do drive it to work every so often to keep miles off my car. Anyway, she does not think it is cool or attractive in any way imaginable. However, it was my decision to buy it based upon price, utility and hopefully reliability for which she keeps reminding me. I am widowed and need both kids to drive to keep the load off me. Part of her issue is the cars the kids at her HS drive to school! She will get off to University in two years and I expect she will be perfectly happy!

PS: maybe she will like it better when I take my bike racks off it

neither did I! bummed rides and sometimes got my Dad's 63 then 72 Beetle to drive. Times have changed and my life is much simpler with her having a car. I looked at used cars ad nauseum and just never found one that I was comfortable with. I walked to school every day myself thru HS, but only a mile.

You know what? My first initial reaction when I was going to buy the Versa, is dang, I'm settlin' for a freakin family car. My girlfriend kinda said the same thing when I bought it.

However, thanks to this forum, Japan making anything look cool, and me actually lowering the car and putting rims on it....I love the car. Ha ha never thought my first six speed would be a Versa tho.

And in High School I drove a Ford Windstar and a Mercury Mountaineer while everyone else had Escalades and Subaru imprezas. So it's not that bad.

Hi,The silver tint really is not a dark tint, it's all legle. The main reasons I like the tint is it gives the student a chance to "hide" from being in a driver training car.

Looks good. whats the purpose of the hood visor. When I hit the highway I never hit any bugs, but on the interstate my hood is covered in them. Are your students going to drive faster than 70 mph?

I salute your effort in keeping that car looking so good considering its purpose in life.

Do you ever get pulled over for this type of tint?

Never had a problem for the tint. It's really not that dark. It's just the angle the picture is taken at....lol

Oh okay. I thought they were tinted with the silver affect that some people get.Mine aren't very dark either, I went w/ the legal limit in the front just to be safe, lol.

Superskunk:Yes I did. I actually received them last Thursday from Versaspeed. However, it seems as though the passenger side (Front window) visor got ruined in the process coming over. Customs or someone who opened the package on the way here sliced off a big chunk of the plastic. The item is no longer rounded at the top its completely straight. They cut off a good chunk. I'm just waiting to see what happens, and get in a new replacement piece for that. But other than that they look great. I can't wait to install them.
