i'm not an sr20 master, so i have no idea what to look for with my problem (except the obvious, see below)

i installed my short shifter today. which hopefully has absolutely nothing to do with my problem, though...

i start my car, it idles pretty rough around 1000-1200, oil pressure gauge is going crazy with the idle and the boost gauge is reading a vaccuum of -.5 bar, which is a bit high. and all of a sudden i have no power to my boost controller. eventually, the car dies. THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. it ran perfectly before.

i call my friend who installed my engine and he says it sounds like symptoms of a vaccuum/boost leak and tells me things to look for. we're both clueless as to why the boost controller has no power which is wired into the cd player, along with the gauges and turbo timer, so we know there is power and ground.

i checked my intercooler piping, wastegate actuator hose, boost controller solenoid hoses, etc. i basically (hopefully) checked every vaccuum hose i saw. from what i saw, there weren't any cracks or anything.

i can get pictures if that would help get a quicker response/fix. tell me where to take the picture and i'll get it up asap. all of my wiring is behind the cd player, so there isn't a way (as far as i know) that i could have hit a wire or something while doing the shifter installation

If you drilled any wires through the firewall look at those first... just a thought. good luck
