There has seem to be a lot of debate and speculation over oil on here. So I did some research and found this. Here is a link to the "Engine oil bible". It should answer any question you have. It is kind of long, but well worth the read.

I hope when you say "we" you mean you lol. That oil bible is a beast. I've read a huge portion of it and WOW.

We've used that before to base debates and I'd say its 98% dead on. There seems to be some lingering doubts on the synthetics part though.

I hate to be so crude, but look at it this way.

When you and your special person want to get frisky would you rather use something like AstroGlide which is specifically designed for that purpose, or Petroleum Jelly, Vegetable Oil, Baby Oil...etc all known to actually cause problems?
