Your fuel pump may or may not be sufficient, some are, some crap out right away. Also, as far as the stock exhaust goes, you can use it but you'll be building a lot of heat in your downpipe which will in turn cause a lot of efficiency loss. It will hurt your turbo but as to how much damage it will do is completely case by case, I wouldn't imagine anything significant so long as you changed it in the near future.

My friend ran the KA fuel pump for like 6 months before he upgraded, and the power gain was enormous he said, so I wouldn't rock the stock one for too long, and for cheap exhausts, even if you go to a muffler shop and have them crush bend something for you, do it, shouldn't be more than 150 bucks.

Some advice though.... If you don't have the money, don't do the swap, it will nickel and dime you to death a bit at the beginning, I can testify to that, but that might not always be the case because I replaced my seals, pilot bushing, water pump, thermostat....

anything shop related is no prob, we own a one. I think i will be ok now though, we bought a 93 mercury cougar with a blown head gasket that we just replaced last night. We are going to sell that and put the money towards more SR stuff :)

I have 2.25 inch catback exhaust, stock cat., and an after market twin cheap muffler...can I use this setup for a while after I get my sr20det installed. Or do I have to immediatly go to 3in. I prolly wouldget 3in about 3-4weeks after the swap. i already got 2500 saved up though...but labor would be 1500 since i have a 95 auto...

when i got my sr20 put in, i really didn't know all that much about engines, etc. BUT i learned...i'm gonna share some info on what i had to find out the hard way.

Stock exhaust will burn up your turbo QUICK, especially if you push more than 7psi. my dumbazz was pushing 14 psi on my stock fuel pump...hence BLOWWWWW. GET the fuel pump please, unless you plan on spending another 1500 for a turbo.SO BOTTOM line is get both and don't half *** it...also, try and get new injectors if you get a boost controller... i'm just mentioning the boost controller cuz that is what everyone REALLY wants to get as soon as they put their SR in...

it may take longer, but it'll help ya in the long run.~Scott

That exhaust should be good until you get your 3" exhaust.

Usually there's several on ebay sold for around $110. I bought mine for $105 shipped just 2 weeks ago.

How loud is the walbro unit? I've heard that several aftermarket fuel pumps are annoyingly loud.

Sacrifice ;)I've heard 2 cars with walbro's one was a WRX it was loud as heck (who cares really?) and a supra with one and it was quiet...I don't know why there was a differance but there was.

Ok, because people were thinking this is stock exhaust...it's not, I upgraded it to 2.25 (but done at a local muffler shop for 100$, so prolly crush bent), before I knew turbos HAD to have 3in, my bad, I didnt know as much about engines either.

be careful, that sounds like the price of the regular Walbro fuel pump, as opposed to the HIgh Flow 255 Walbro pump, which is the one you want....U might want to make sure your getting what you 'really want'....
