(Chrysler all the way, sure, the hemi was a temperamental beast, but a beast non the less)

Caravan, I'll take mine in the turbo form!

SUV or Sick Fast minivan (I don't know why no makers have done this yet, it'll be way bigger than the stupid suv's because if you gotta haul kids, do it in something that's also auto cross suitable with a tuned suspension and a tuner friendly powerplant.)

well, except the 409, it's gotta be muscle or surfer ready if the Beach Boys sing about it:D

edit: the Firehawk was actually an SLP engineering beast there Dave, I'm assuming you didn't know, if you did, just ignore me (rather simple feat)

Yea the fireHAWK, is a modified 1990 and up fireBIRD.

The fireBIRD started in 1969 on the same ponycar platform as the Camaro.

Thus its not a musclecar.....persay.

no, but for a while it was one muscular pony

I believe the Challenger and Cuda where also considered pony cars too, but most people consider the old pony cars muscle.

Muscle cars were originally supposed to be the lightest car with the biggest engine, it's kinda what defined the era. Just cramming a huge engine into a small car. So when you got into stuffing the F and A body as well as the Mustang with the biggest engine you could find, you got some of the baddest cars on the road at the time because they also had a good handling characteristics, they really lost the pony when they stuffed huge muscled work horse engines into them.

Nice sig by the way, Steve McQueen pwns:)

I'll have to go with McQueen, he did all his own driving anyway(not sure if Newman did or not, he still wasn't in Bullit though:D). I can't remember the movie, but at one point, he was in a chase with a guy while driving a tow truck...

Newman's salad dressing isn't too bad though:D

Tow Truck or '67 Hunter green Mustang GT Fastback 390 4 speed car? (I can't decide which could make more money:))

hmmmm think I'll have to go with Indy 500, I find it easier to watch than NASCAR usually, still not a fan of watching that much race, I'm down with highlight reels though!

am I the only one that gets annoyed by people that diss NASCAR or am I not alone on it when I think it does take a lot of skill as well, I guess people don't realize that in NASCAR it just really comes down more to driver skill than car, also, it's the ultimate in testing a car body's aerodynamic abilities even though the body isn't quite stock shape. 200+mph for 500 miles is pretty badass for a car that isn't a spoiler with 4 wheels though. Fear the mindless rant!

would you actually take the Ferrari over the Shelby Cobra Daytona? I wouldn't even though I've heard them mention that the six built had a few gremlins, they still threw down hard in races though...

School bus demolition derby (actually saw this on espn2 today, funny stuff) or Baja Truck?

The Daytona Coupe is very cool, but very uncivilized. No creature comforts. Gets hot as hell after 30 minutes driving. Pure race car. Not much good except on the track. (and I don't live near one) But the Ferrari is the ultimate in grand touring. Comfortable and refined. As much fun on the street as it is on the track. No better sound or feeling than a Ferrari V-12.

As far as NASCAR goes, While I appreciate the drivers skills in running 200mph so close together in such big cars, oval racing is boring to watch (except maybe the last 2 laps). I find the IRL boring too for the same reason. The rules and officiating as NASCAR is very inconsistent. "Provisional" qualifying is dumb, and the commentary during the races can be more nauseating than Howard Cosell. I could go on and on. I'll sometimes watch NASCAR when they run at Watkins Glen, as I've run my car there. But NASCAR only uses half the dang track. SCCA, ALMS, F1, Trans-am, WRC are far more interesting to watch than NASCAR. But the advertising that goes with NASCAR is too much.

Anyway, probably baja truck.

NIRA, i agree with bubba. yes nascar takes alot of skill but its so boring to watch because the camera views and the cars. the camera angles because all the shots make them look like they're going 45 mph cause the track is so large and the in-car cameras are better but u can never see whats going on except for right infront of the car. the other problem is the cars, they all look exactly the same! i find it much more interesting when there are two different cars that actually look like the real production versions. i cant believe that they actually use the production vehicle's name considering they dont share one part with it.

mothers or meguires?
