A Chinese guy goes to a Jew to buy black bras, size 38D.

The Jew, known for his skills as a businessman, says that black bras are rare and that he is finding it very difficult to buy them from his suppliers. Therefore he has to charge $50.00 for them.

The Chinese guy buys 25 bras.

He returns a few days later and this time orders fifty.

The Jew tells him that they have become even harder to get and charges him $60.00 each.

The Chinese guy returns a month later and buys the Jew's remaining stock of 50, and this time for $75.00 each.

The Jew is somewhat puzzled by the large demand for black size 38 bras and asks the Chinese guy, "...please tell me - What do you do with all these black bras?"

The Chinese guy answers: "I cut them in half and sell them as yarmulkes to Jews for $200.00 each."

If he HAD been the one to bailout GM, the Dems certainly wouldn't be lauding it as a success (as much as we now know that it wasn't).

Not to be argumentative but I read this when googlin earlier before I posted. It claims the GM bailout was a W move, right at the end of this reign.

In the closing days of the Bush administration, then-president Bush made the decision to grant General Motors a $13.4-billion loan to keep the company afloat, at least through the transition to the Obama administration.

Just trying to clarify, mostly for my own knowledge. I think the confusion might be the difference between time of legislation and time of funding? Anyway seems it was a W move. Either way I disagreed with it. Bush started TARP, or the concept, and I disagreed with it as well.

However, that makes this all the more humorous:

I opposed the bailouts, TARP, NCLB, and several other initiatives - but if the Left is claiming credit for bailouts that were a miserable failure, then they're more ignorant than I even gave them credit for.

There were a number of failed Bush policies to crow about, but I think you'll find there was ample democratic support for TARP and the auto bailouts, as well as the first stimulus attempt.

In fact, for that last one, President Bush passed it mostly with the help of Democrats, with only a minority of Republicans signing on.
