Nah, it's gotta be that sweet uncracked S14 dash. Jesda would never be interested in such an ugly background.

I saw a man driving one that looked like that last week.
He was taking his children somewhere and looked very distressed, I think he killed their mother and was fleeing to Mexico.

They make dash repair kits. Has an epoxy of some sort and a few different shades of paint you can mix to perfectly match your dash. Worked pretty well on my old Toyota.

yeah, they kinda suck though.

use a can of color coat and just spray the whole dash so you don't have to worry about matching.

the silicone will fill the crack well, if you lay down some vinyl on top of it while it sets, you might get a little bit of texturing but really, once the dash gets bad enough for one crack, expect more to start showing up in other places.

a full reupolhstering of the dash is the best thing, but doing that on an S chassis is retarded

a can of color coat and a little silicone will get a good looking repair for under 20 bucks if you're good.

That's why I said overlay. It only costs about $100, and it will last indefinitely without looking too cheap, like a dash carpet.

eh...I still hate them.

like the ones on the S30's you can get...yeah, they suck. Not as bad as the carpet but still. I think I'd just rock the cracks until it was fixed right.

I'd MUCH rather use silicone and colorcoat than those goddamn things.

hopefully in the near future I'll have extra cash so I can buy some piece of s*** with a cracked dash and do a cheap repair right up.

color coat works well on soft vinyl though. I've used it on steering wheels with decent results (it looks good, but on a wheel, it's gonna rub off fairly quick and have to be redone fairly often.)

Everyone's 900 is cleaner and prettier than mine, but.. BUT I spent more money! :chuckle: I think I have three or four coats of paint. I'm tempted to strip it bare and make it black.
