first

I have tried using the search button but there is no G35 forum on the list for forum catigories..... is there a reason for that? Im pretty anal about using the search button instead of ever asking so I was curious why it didnt work.

Second.

I have worked on several cars since I was a young child, I dont care much for big name parts companies unless I cant fab it myself....... thus on my most recent build almost all the parts are one offs that I have built or my BF has fabbed for me. I have wanted to keep my G pretty stock, but I know there is a bit more of a roar I can get out if it with an Intake. I think 100 bucks for a filter is a bit silly to me so the the JWT pop-charger is a little much. I was seeing that people sell adapters and even CAIs on ebay for like 30 bucks..... being that OBD2 is very new to me as Eprom and before that screw drivers were all that were required for tuning...... I was wondering what experience people had with this?

how good could a PAIR of exhaust manifolds really be at 113 bucks with free shipping? 113 doesnt even sound like it would cover shipping?

my BF does test and tune for GTspec so I will end up getting real good deal on that stuff..... but beyond that I want to keep my G just a nice beater.

plans are.......

Complete set of GT spec braces

intake

exhaust (may have exhaust Depot make me one........ they do awesome work for rediculously cheap)

maybe a TB spacer.

maybe some wheels and a bit of drop......

my S13 is going to go under the knife a lot more now that it isnt my daily.

first: why do you have a pic of a honda in your sig?

second: I wouldn't buy no-name brand headers off ebay. thats what it sounds like your $113 headers are. Probably bad fitment and you won't get great improvements out of them. Exhaust on the G has been known to be very touchy. Many companies have had to do extensive testing before they found something that actually added some good gains.

third: some people say that intake will not really add much in the way of power, maybe a few HP on the upper end. Get a Z tube (from a 350z) and a better filter and that might be the better way to go.

4th: Why don't you get us all some good deals on GTSpec stuff ??

do you have a sedan or coupe? 350z suspension will lower a sedan 1", a coupe .5" and you can generally pick them up pretty cheap

TB spacers I haven't heard much about.... if you get one let us know, but you should def get a plenum spacer or aftermarket plenum.

lol that honda makes me laugh. you can see my BF's mom's SER altima in the backround. I just everytime I see it.

always good for a giggle

yeah I figured they wouldnt add much if anything. If I really wanted some sick headers my Grandfather owns the largest welding shop in the S/E. I was just shocked at how cheap they were. I didnt believe they actually worked .

I think I will experiement with an ebay intake. If I cant get any extra out of it or fitment sucks I can cut it up and use it as IC piping on the S13 or one of the other cars.....

lol yeah I will see what I can shake out of them. the GT spec stuff isnt expensive to begin with..... I would have my step dad weld in subframe connectors and bracing, but this is something I want to keep a bit cleaner and stock than all the other cars I hae had.

sorry I meant Plenum spacer not TB spacer. though I have read it is mostly for sound? what performance will I see out of it? Im trying to keep this car kind of low key mod wise....... I already have too many cars to play with.

PS it is a spd6 coupe. I may have to look into some Z springs. what is the spring rate?

Hey there,

I was curious about your search query and here is what I found If you select the flashing search at the top left of the screen it will bring you to the subsection search as shown in this screenshot, using the drop down menu you can narrow your search.

G35s, don't really like cheap ebay crap, if you can get something like that at a too good to be true there is a good chance it will not live up to the ad. If you can get something custom made for your car by a reputable source that might be the better way to go. Custom Gs FTW.

That is not going to sit well with some of the people here. The G is not just a car here. Decent build plans though, it won't really get you too much power but it should be fun to drive.

what can I say..........

The G is just a daily driver for now. the CA powered S13 is my toy.....

we have a fully built 73 GMC sprint.... shooting for 9.70s this year, an all original 26k miles 71 stingray with a numbers matching 454 and 5spd, and a 57 chevy bell aire that has been fully restored.

If I want to race something I will take the S13 out and beat up on mustangs.....

The G is staying very stock as far as Im concerned. nothing Im willing to beat the hell out of........ it is too choice for that. Just want it to be rolling nice and clean.

The G is great with minor mods....Intake/Exhaust for a little power and a lot of sound!

As far as NICO, G35club.org is a part of NICO and is moderated by NICO staff.

sorry yeah its a 4spd. grandpa doesnt let me near it...... he has put a grand total of 5 miles on it since he has owned it.

all of which consist of him moving it on and off the lift so we can put other cars in the air.

You'll like the Injen CAI, just dont try the short ram setup.....it sucks bad! I went from the full setup to the short setup and swear I lost power. The install is easy too......when you do it, just remove the foam from the bumper to make things easier and you will see a plastic blocker behind the d/s grill so the filter isn't just out there for all the sand and dust and rain to ravage. The directions say to cut the foam but alot of folks just pull it out.

Hope this helps! EBAY UP BEACHES!!!! everything but the intake is ebay copy/cheap sheet and I love it J/K
