I recently found a new z32 for cheep nz$2000 but was a bit smokey. Thinking its a good buy i took it home only to find it was not the turbo but the passenger side bank(RHD).So i thought i'll try something thats a bit silly (well it works).I fitted all the turbos and parts of the TT motor onto a very healthy DE.Its been running now for a week (now 400km,s so far) and its all good. Its basically stock with a K&N and 2.5" exaust. But its way faster and mor powerfull than a TT engine with the same mods. What i noticed it was that it comes onto boost way sooner than a stock TT.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]I"ll be swapping over to a n/a diff this weekend so it can be even mor responsive. This is by far the best stock Z32 i ever owend or drivin lol

Not stupid should work as long as you don't detonate.

We put 24psi on a stock non turbo sr20de (b13 SE-R) and it ran that way for years.but we used race gas when the boost was that high.Kevin at PAS last had the car, not sure where it ended up after him.

Hiyeah i run it on 10% ethernol blended fuel over here. Just fitted a HKS f-con v-pro ecu now then i'll have it tuned on the dyno tommorow. It should make lots more torque than a stock TT motor it sure feels that way lol.cheers

Tons of research show the NA "wrist pins" can't handle much over 10psi safely. Also research shows that the stock t22/25 turbos actually spool up slower than the tt. The NA heads are very restrictive. Even a heavily ported and polished NA head will barely compare to the tt head.

the tt heads swap with no problem and are a good upgrade in even NA applications.

The na may feel more power because of the lowend Tqe, but will never be as powerful or reliable as the TT.

If you are some how thinking,"swap the wrist pins then". there is a build i have been following of just that.

IMO its f***ing retarded. I'f you going to pull the motor COMPLETELY apart, just to change the wristpins, might as well change the pistons and have the same reliability and performance of a true TT engine.

Sorry i did not see your response before,I value your input. The motor is stilll going you may think its retarded but it was cheap and lots of fun I'll be swapping some heavily ported single turbo (VG30DET) heads and wrist pins but I'm staying with the N/A pistons I have a 854RWHP z32 aswell so my N/A TT car is just for fun LOL cheers.
