s13 and s14 non turbo cars were the silvia Q's and K's were the turbo cars. s15 cars were the Spec-S and Spec-R cars, respectively

the non turbo cars were powered by the SR20de...IIRC

Thank you so much. I was given an unknown SR20 motor with no intake, harness, dist, or ecu and have been trying to figure out what I need to rebuild it to relpace the KA24de in my 98 S14. Second question, will my existing harness, dist, harness, ecu, and intake work for this motor or do I have to do more searching? I know I sound like a moron but all i work on is Miata scca race cars.

Is the motor you have a JDM motor?? Or is it the SR20 motor out of a sentra se-r?? If it is JDM, is it a FWD bluebird sr20, or RWD sr20 out of a silvia? I assume because of the topic post it is out of the latter. But do you know for sure....

This may seem a little long but will give perspective on the motor. My boss Own's a salvage yard. I build race cars there,( Miata SM'S) as his secondary bussiness. This motor came in a container with other motors that he bought from japan a few years ago. He had no idea what it was for and I saw that it had RWD motor mounts, water inlet and outlet faces forward of the engine and the Dist. hole is at the left front of the V/C cover, w/ exh. manifold, ( non-turbo) exiting towards the rear of the motor instead of wrapping under. Engine is stamped SR20 followed by 6 digits and then a W. So I figured I could build it to replace my existing KA24de., and so he gave it to me. It has no intake, dist, harness,or ecu. With three kids I just want do do my home work as I can not afford to by the wrong parts and want to do something other than dropping in the same old same old, like my last s13, this will be going in my new 98 s14, hopefully, lol. Any help would be greatley appreaciated. Thanks!
