Many many posts in here (myself included) rant about why some easy repair is needlessly made into rocket science by the engineers who designed our cars.
I still remember way back when I wanted to change out the headlamp bulb. Simply raising the hood, twisting the old bulb out and twisting the new bulb in was about a 5 minute job. Well ... we all know how that ended ... with my face all twisted, scratching my head, and asking "i have to remove WHAT?"
Here is a comical video on Scotty Kilmer replacing a starter on a Honda Element. His frustration clearly grows and grows as he proceeds to do what should be a simple, quick fix. At the end he actually says "you shouldn't buy one of these in the first place".
