Right now the car pulls but I haven't really stepped on it, I want to get it dyno tuned but I don't have the $$$$....... Do you guys think I need a fuel pressure regulator the car runs good and isn't running too rich.

I still haven't install the colder plugs im going to try to pick them up today. I already retarded the timing to 10 degrees, (do i need more?) im running ten pounds of boost.

Right now the safc2 low setting are set for -30% and the high setting is set the same right now. It breaks up a little bit around 4500 rpm. The car is running good i'm just trying to finish the little things and these are the questions that I have. Thanks a lot guys for reading the post.

um, u need to get a wideband ASAP. ur high map CANNOT be at -30% and be fine in boost...........u need to get ur car on a dyno ASAP or get a wideband. you seem to have a good setup so it would suck for it to go to waste. if you lack the funds, just stay out of boost. u need to know what your a/f's are so u can add/subtract some fuel with ur safc. edit: u can run 15 degrees base timing.......also u may or may not need an fpr pending on what ur a/f's are looking like and what ur fuel pressure is looking like.

If 370's run in the neighborhood of -25% to -27% in boost, it seems that 480's would be nearly right at home in the -30% range.

Ultimately, however, the car certainly needs to hit the dyno for some tuning. It's more likely that your stock heat range/gapped plugs are causing the upper rpm range break-up, but I wouldn't rely on any assumption.

Get the colder plugs, gap them to .030" and hit the dyno for some tuning. Get that base timing to 15*BTDC (like Jook already said) before you go, and tune for AFR's around 11.5-12.0:1 (since you don't have any timing control).

I don't think you'll need a new FPR.

Looks like a good setup. Keep us posted on how it goes.

The engine broke.... I revved it up and started to pull out the drive way and it starting to make a noise like a bearing broke... but when I was checking why it was shaking so much I unplugged the sparkplug boot from the last piston it was full of oil......

So I started to pull out the spark plug and It was really bad like something was hitting it.... I dunno??? Im already putting another motor in and im going to see what happened to it.... good thing I had a extra motor to put in....

Oh yeah the engine had over 225,000 miles on it.....

for 370s, the safc is set at -27% or -25% when out of boost..................while in boost tho, it cannot be at those values. that info has been wideband tested.

sorry to hear for ur loss. the mileage on the motor doesnt indicate a thing, it could have still had great compression numbers. i guess be more careful with the next motor and keep us posted.

Ya no problem dude, I know a lot of guys run turbo on these motor with high mileage.... When I finish putting this motor I will take the other one apart and see what happened.. Everything is disconnected on the motor I just need a hoist to lift it up and take it out....

The engine would have been out yesterday if I would have had the hoist.... Atleast now I will have the chance to make the engine bay super clean...

I will definantley take my car to someone who know more about the safc to look at the car and take it to the dyno for me...... Lol it better not break on the dyno thats all im saying.....
