I'm going to pick these up on Sat. I'm getting them for $900 from this guy. He says that they are in like new cond. so we'll see. They will be going on my 08 Altima Sedan. I believe the offset is around +40 so they should look alright. The main thing I'm worried about is the TPMS that I have. I'm thinking about taking the car and wheels to Discount Tire to have the sensors switched over to the new rims. My question is, can I drive on the new rims without the TPMS sensors installed?

Anyway, here's a pic of my car as a before shot...

Any opinions on looks or any advise would be greatly appreciated. Next mods to come will be exhaust work and Eibach Pro kit.

For $900 id get aftermarket wheels.. you can get a nice set of 18s with tires for that much.. lemme know if you need help...

Theres no harm done driving without the TPMS.

I am getting aftermarket wheels. 19'' to be exact. I put the link to the craigslist page in my first page as well.

Even though they're only slightly used (seller claims 4k miles), they should be cheaper than that.

That whole set up new, should be only about $1600.

A quick search of ebay shows used 20" Thruxtons (BMW bolt patterns) going for $600 without tires.

I think there's better deals on better wheels/tires, but ultimately it's your decision.

What width/offset does he say those are? After looking at a few on line places, I'm only seeing 19x8.0 +20 or 19x9.5 +35, though I can't find the complete model specs from TSW anywhere.

After talking to this guy, whom seems like a pretty cool seller, I know that the wheels have a +40 offset and that the wheels are "like new". Of course I'm going to inspect every wheel before I buy, but after looking online and several speed shops throughout S.C. and Atlanta, this is one of the better deals that I have found.

And the Falken's themselves, if in good condition, are great tires for a great price. Usually for this price on the net, you might find a 19'' wheel and tire combo, but the tire isn't usually a Falken or Toyo or Nitto. More like Nankang and Ling Long etc... There's nothing wrong with that though, as I used to run Nankang on the 17'' wheels that I had on my Focus. For the autocross days I had Toyo's or Hoosiers on stock 15''s to do the work.

But I digress, I feel that this is a good price for a wheel/tire combo that I could potentially put on the car as soon as I buy. We'll see how it turns out though.

I also talked to this guy personally... http://atlanta.craigslist.org/pts/966259537.html about his rims but, I'm really not a chrome fan. But the price isn't bad at all either.

Manny...

You def shouldnt just give him his asking price, NEGOTIATE..

I got 4 20" nitto extreme 555's from Discount Tire Direct for $450 shipped (245/35/20ZR)

Theres good deals out there on tires...

I dont like "speed shops" for wheels and things like this... they have overhead, bills etc...

I want a warehouse thats got a computerized inventory and one guy working... no fancy showroom!

I would also sugguest that you may want to wait a bit.. ebay just ended their 30% off promo 2 weeks ago (with live.com) and its gotta come back.... THATS where you can get the USED deal price on NEW WHEELS N RUBBER!

Just my .02 (im the nico value shopper)... But as long as you are happy, im happy!

It's not a bad deal, but I think there's better deals out there. Ultimately, if you're happy with the deal and the wheels/tires, that's what really matters. And you're right about the Falkens, they're not Nexen 3000's.

There's some others on CL in that area that have good and "cons" to them. The chrome ones you linked above. Nice tires, but I don't care for chrome either. There's a set of G35 Coupe Forged 19's for $1000. The tires have more miles on them and you wouldn't be able to rotate the staggered set up, but they're forged which is nice. A few others just have skinny (225 or 235's) or worn out tires.

Well I met with the guy and I went ahead and got the rims/tires for $800. The tires are in awesome, like new, shape and the rims themselves are in exellent condition. Besides being very dirty ( the car the rims were on has been sitting for a few months ) I could only find 1 or 2 very small imperfections on the wheels themselves. I will post up picks tomorrow on a separate thread, but this GA weather has really sucky lately. But if the weather's nice, I'll clean up the rims and car a little and take some quick snaps.

One thing I will say is that the car is now screaming for the Eibach pro-kit! And since I'm only home on holiday leave, I won't be able to address that right now, but once I get home in Feb. the Eibachs will be ordered and installed and hopefully some other goodies will be on the car soon.

So that was my Christmas present to my car this year, the other one still hasn't come in the mail yet. I ordered a set of yellow Lamin-X fog light covers about a week ago so they should be here soon if they didn't get slowed down by the Christmas mail.

But anyway, be on the lookout for my car's new shoes!
