This is weird

Well I just noticed that sometimes when I turn my rear defrost on, my radio acts like it's getting bad reception(static). Anyone ever have this happen and is there something wrong, or just an extra perk of a 240? I love my 240 though.

faulty wiring? thats all i can think of, what year is it?

simple radio transmiters dont work too well if they dont get the power they need, so maybe there is a conflit between the defroster and radio wires...

its a 91. It doesn't do it all the time, so it could be bad wiring. Any suggestions on what to look at to fix it, or just leave it be?

i never poped the wiring of a car... so unforunatly i cant help you there

but if it doesnt bug you that much you can forget about it

but if you ever decide to get an after market sound system i would defintly go through the wiring inch by inch

I have an aftermarket cd player and infinity regular speakers. I was considering a small amp and sub for lows. Would this cause a problem with the wiring, or vice versa? I don't use the defrost much(only drive the car in the summer), so i just pop in a cd when i have it on. So I don't know if it's worth the work and hassle to see whats wrong with the wiring.

could be that the speakers drain a little bit more than what the car is used to

Jeeze.....fires are bad. I just noticed this after I put a used TCU(time control unit) in my car yesterday when my other one went bad. My car has a mind of it's own. Oh well, maybe if I get motivated one day I'll check it out.
