I just recently bought a 89 nissan 240sx. i havent even got to drive it yet. I just put new brakes,mc, and a fuel pump on it. what i am currently needing to know is by any chance does the rear quarter panels come off at all. If they do can ya explain how to take it off.

P.S. this is my first thread

well the one i have was hit on the passenger side. it could probably be fixed easily but where it was hit is right in the door jam and it is a lil bit messed up as well. i was looking at the quarter panel and it looks l;ike all that holds it on are a few welds. i was thinking that i could grind the welds an remove that whole thing. unless you could think of an easier way

the only way would be to cut it. since a 240 is a unibody, the rear qp is connected to everything else.

well, it's not something i would recommend you try yourself, get a pro to do it. the best thing is to cut the qp from a parts car and weld it in, but along the door jam it might be tricky.

since i've never dealt with it myself its hard to say. post some pics of it, and someone might be able to give you a decent idea.
