I just drove it back home, 175 miles. I am leaking oil bad. The car ran fine, I was told it leaked oil but had no idea this bad. It seems to be leaking alot from right below the rear of the engine. Any ideas?

if you mean the back of the engine then most likely your rear main is going out

the rear main seal is a snap man...just drop your tanny, drain the oil..then pull off that small plate that the seal is in ..pop the seal out with s flat driver and lightly push in your new one with your fingers..then carfully tap it in with a soft rubberized hammer or tool...grab your rtv red and make a new seal for that plate..reinstall..presto!..one rear main seal...

Difficulty****/5...time about 2hours..4 if your new.

First thing to do is wipe everything down to get it clean then figure out where it is coming out. I had a pretty bad oil leak before I replaced my oil pan gasket. Now its not even a drop. But if its the rear main seal, it shouldn't be too hard, a little time consuming but not necessarily difficult.

Do you know what the rear main seal is? It's the rear seal on the crankshaft. Do you have prior experience in actual engine internals? If you have never torn down a engine and rebuilt it. Take it to a shop, pay the $$ to have a pro fix it. You could be biting off more than you can chew. I would hate to see a 240 owner ruin his car just for a lack of exp. Just my opinion...

He'll never learn without trying... Most of your advice seems to be ok but it also seems as if you're just trying to hurry and get 10 posts to get to the classifieds section. Question is whether you are buying or selling..

Is there always a strawberry cup holder on these forums? ^ Look man, I assume by you saying that, once you get to 10 posts this site has a buying selling section? I have everything that I need for my 240, if I don't well I sures hell wouldn't buy it from here. I really don't give a damn what you or anyone else thinks, I know my isht. If you think you can keep plaguing my replies your just wasting your time. Why not use the things in your head that you think you know about 240's and help some of these kids out. Don't be a jackass!
