I got this email just now from honda advertizing this:http://www.civictour.com/ and god did my heart sink. let me just start off by saying, I don't mean to offend fans of these bands personally, but it will become apparent as you read on that I don't care for Good Charlotte or New Found Glory. Also let me say that I think the new Civic Si is a pretty dope car and I would prolly own one now if I made twice what I make now.

But this advertisment scheme is just an abomination on soooo many levels. I don't know where to begin. It isn't even that I dislike the bands who's names are all over those cars, I mean I like Radiohead quite abit, but I aint gonna drive around a new car with their name all over it. Plus those bands are supposed to be punk. what the H-E-double-hockeysticks does punk have to do with Honda, import cars, or even cars in general? I thought punk was against commercialism and the main stream. I know this isn't even a new concept; they've been doing this civictour thing for a few years now I think, but that's the worst part; it must be working. It just makes me mad cuz I can just see this breeding more idiots who think their car will go faster after spending 200 at pep-boys.excuse me, I must go fume now.

well some punk is mainstream and other is underground. some would argue that underground or indie punk is the only real punk music, others just listen to what they like. as for the cars they are ugly as hell. especially the good charlotte one:batman
