I want to build a strong na ka24e motor with no more than 9:1 compression I have about $4500 limit on the internals, i have found an all forged stroker kit thats going to set me back 1800 of that. but what i am asking is what exact kind of head work, cam, cylinder bore, valve size, etc. you recommend for a april 2004 t04 turbo setup? i want this engine to be broken in a running perfect by then. any help would be awesome! ohh and i am looking for 250 na if possible. do you design turbo kits? i am getting a drag auto with 3500 rpm stall converter to go with. have aluminum drive shaft in the garage, and I need tips on rear ends. thank you once again.

Lets start with the head work. You're going to need to port match the inake and exhaust ports. That's free if you own a dremel tool. You'll need to do a 5 angle valve job on the heads, that's going to set you back about $900-$1200. There really isn't much room to go bigger on the valves in these heads, and the stock valves flow more than you'll probably ever be able to push through the motor anyway, so leave them alone.

Now cams, I personally like the PDM cams, but custom ones can be had at about the same price if that's what you like. (dunno price on PDM)

On the cylinder bore, there really isn't much you can do there but to sleeve the block in preparation for the coming turbo. Sleeving will run you about $500 on a KA24E.

You say you have most of the driveline, well on the rearend here's the catch... You don't want it to be too tough or you'll never make the power to use it. The RS200 from an R32 skyline would be just perfect for what you're looking at. It's already LSD, and has 3.96 gears in it so it isn't much of a change from your stock gearing. You'll actually gain MPH in the 1/4 with this rearend. It will cost about $400 and have to be installed by you as very few people in the states know anything about them.

You'll also need to go to a different computer. The JWT is fine for a car with limited mods, but is costly to have reprogrammed. I would just spend the money and get a standalone of some kind. They range in price from $800-$6000 depending on what kind you go with, and what all it allows you to manipulate.

You're 250hp N/A is a nearly unreachable goal; I don't even think there are more than say a handful of KA24E's over the 200hp mark N/A...Realistically, with the stroker kit and all the mods we've just listed you might get to 200hp, but I'd be more confident saying 190 at the wheels.

wow, I have a dremel. is there a story somewhere that explains how to do this? and what are the chances of me screwing it up really bad if I try to do it?
