....and most of the people that I've asked. First, let me give you a little background so that you know where I stand:

I just replaced the motor in my 95 240 with a motor out of a 97/98. The new motor only has 54K miles on it. Now we didn't know that it was a OBDII motor until the actual installation was almost done. So the mechanic had to do some custom electrical work in order to compromise the OBD1/OBD2 conflict; along with some vacuum lines. Now the car was running fine for about two days before my brand new clutch starting slipping really bad which isn't the problem in question. B/c of the clutch I took the car to another mechanic and b/c of my own stupidity...he ran the car out of gas. Now here's where you guys come into play. Since the car ran out gas it's been running like absolute ****! The car had a really hard time turning over and once it did it would stutter and stubble. If I tap the gas ever so slightly the car wants to stall. On top of that.....if I am to coast at 2k or 3k rpms and try to drop the hammer, it will bog-down violently! The od thing is that these symtoms get progressively worse as the temp of the engine increases.

What I've done to try remedy the problem so far:new fuel filter (z32)new MAFnew fuel filter

and one last thing....I checked the OBD and it was throwing a Code 33 (o2 sensor). So, naturally I'm going to replacet that and it just so happens that a o2 sensor for a 97/98 lying around. I could use this one, but I'm not sure how to the convert the 3-wires of the 97/98 to the 1-wire of my 95. I searched around and didn't come up with much of anything concerning this issue.

I know this is a good bit to take in and diagnose, but I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions that you guys can give me.

Thanks in advance,Chris

maybe it sucked up sediments in the bottom of the tank and fncked up your fuel pump

ohm out your injectors see if they are all about the same resistance. also try disconnecting the O2 and driving it see if it reacts differently and drives more like it should. Unplugging it puts the fuel control in open loop and will not use the O2 for mixture control.

sounds like a fuel issue. lot of cars ending up with deisel in them nowadays. might want to check that. pressure at load would be a good check.

we've already replaced the fuel pump with no success. And just last night I replaced the o2 sensor....still no luck. I'm starting to think it might be a vacuum leak.

or possibly a clogged fuel line. how would I go about checking and/or cleaning a clogged fuel line?
