I let my guard down for a minute and see what happens... I bought another damn BMW!

I totally blame you, INFINITI, for this clearly misguided act of a man facing a clutchless winter. (Allow me to demonstrate my mental desperation with a run-on sentence the likes of which would have me repeating 6th grade English.) As I've packed up the MX-5 for the winter, and my X3 has been taken over by the wife; both physically (she accidentally left a 1/2 gal of milk under the passenger seat for a week in July - I suggested zippo lighter fluid and a match, she rolled her eyes at my suggestion... She is still trying to clean that smell away), and more importantly, FINANCIALLY (she fed Krampus this years $1600), I've found myself with a few Benjamins collecting up in my wallet as your m37x seems to only guzzle hi-test, synthetic oil and tires with little other needs.

Then low and behold, my semi routine (4 times a day) cars.com advanced search for AWD, Manuals that aren't Suburus for under $5000 within 25 miles of my house in the middle of nowhere, produced a hit with a 2006 E90 330xi 6sp with a mere 147k on the clock and spotty paperwork (he spent two years in West Virginia, likely running meth up and down I-79).

I actually justified the entire thing in my head with "I don't want to expose the M to another winter". I love your damn car. Curse you, INFINITI!

Even worse, while closing on the deal for the E90, a E36 6sp showed up for a couple grand on mylist. Only a 318i, but if I put snow tires on it I should be able to tow it behind the E90 as a spare BMW and come close to the reliability of a Japanese car.

Suggestions on how a guy can hide a car from his wife?

Congrats on the E36 purchase! That model is considered by many enthusiasts to be one of the best and fun driving cars around. My brother had an E36 M3 years ago...what an awesome car.
It'd be tough to hide though, unlike guns. Whenever I would buy a new one I would just stick it in the safe. After a while, I would get it out and she'll ask about it, and I would say "honey I've had this one for a while" and she'll say "oh ok" :bigthumb:

Excellent thread! I still my day-to-day hoping against hope that Infiniti will build it's own version of the BMW M5. Imagine ... the saloon that has been forever regarded in Europe as the best saloon car, but without the BMW curse that makes it an endless money pit after a few years. If Infiniti can bring their quality and reliability to an M5, I would gladly chuck my M to have one.
