This is a pretty dumb question, but WTF... RB20 Lower Rad Hose (I know its ka24)

So got my radiator in yesterday and I had some free time to get it all connected. When I went to put my lower radiator hose on the thermostat housing it would not fit, so I heated it up a little bit, still wouldnt fit, so I sprayed some silicon lube on it, still wouldnt fit... I'm at a loss for what to do here... It seems that the Outside diameter of the lower hose is the same as the inside diameter of the thermostat housing, and it wouldnt be possible to stretch it that much eh?

Anything I'm missing?

I managed to get it to fit over the end of my Maglite but even that was pushing it. Did other peoples hose's just pop right on? Should I buy a new hose because mine is old or something?

The RB lower hose is actually larger at the thermostat side and smaller on the radiator size. I don't think you'll be able to get the ka hose to fit on to the t-housing. You might be better off getting a different hose in the shape of the ka hose but with the inner diameter of the RB t-housing. Then it would be a matter of reducing the size at the radiator.

Advance Auto part# (E)71932cs hose fits almost perfectly. You just have to trim the lenght a little.

Anyone got a part # of the hose they used? Because I always heard that people used the Ka hose...

I don't have the part number but I had the same problem on my RB25. I just took the stock hose with me to Autozone and asked the guy if I could just look through all the hoses. I found one that was flaired on one end and had the same shape after that. It was a little long at the radiator end so I cut off the end for fit.
