so i was pouring some cheap transmission fluid through the transmission to try and get whatever **** i could get out of it since the transmission sat for so long. im doing all the little **** waiting on my driveshaft to get done. anyways i saw fluid leaking from the tail of the transmission where the yoke inserts. its been so long since i pulled my SR and driveshaft out of the car that i cant remember if transmission is suppose to leak from there without a driveshaft installed. im pretty sure fluid will leak without a driveshaft installed but can anyone just confirm this for me? im just paranoid. im getting close to driving my car after over a year and a half that its making me paranoid about little ****.

i did start the car last week. she cranked and fired the first time i turned the key. i got a woody haha. anyways the napa starter sounds disgusting. but whatever. if it starts the car then i can live with the sound. it is for a 65ish datsun afterall .
