Too bad they chucked the v12...but it may be the most beautiful dragster ever conceived. In that way way wrong not quite right in the head kind of way.

Sorry I can't find any videos of it running...but outside of the NHRA "Qualification", I don't think it has been driven much.
Still...100k for an 8.5sec car with one of the most attractive body styles ever made? I'd call that a bargain.

WOW. The 250 GTE is my favorite Ferrari ever, and the single most beautiful work of automotive art ever beheld by man. Definitely an interesting project.

Perfect example of somebody having more money than sense. What a waste of a beautiful car. :squint:

It is TECHED for an 8.5 second run that doesn't mean it can do an 8.5 second run. Depending on what fuel the 565 V8 burns this is a mid 10 low 9 second car at best.

Simply putting on a helmet and getting into your civic makes you pass tech for a 13.0 run,

Just why couldn't they have used a kit car instead of the real thing?

no sir, I don't like it.

reminds me of Mr Bean's Holiday where he painted a smiley face on Whistler's Mother.

only this doesn't have Rowan Atkinson bumbling around and f'n up a Ferrari on accident.

I agree. (selfish motives) That Pinin Farina design looks beautiful from every angle. There are not many cars that do.

You can have that one. I'd prefer the stock version with the V12, (3) 2-bbl weber carbs, borrani wire wheels, leather interior, mohagany steering wheel (with the glass horsey horn button), and rows of sexy veglia guages..... :yesnod

Datte, those old 50's/60's V12 Ferraris are rolling works of art. Labelling it just a car is akin to labelling the Mona Lisa just a painting. Just because you don't appreciate them, doesn't mean other folks can't enjoy them.

My personal preference is the rarer 330 America over the 250GTE. Both had the same body (the 330 had driving lights outside the grill and nicer tail lights) but the 330 had the 4 liter v12, as compared to the 3 liter V12 in the 250.
