I keep finding new features on an almost daily basis... my salesman knew jack about the car, and not everything was in the brochure... I accidentally found out the car has a factory alarm, and I found the drivers' window auto-up feature by accident as well. Who knew there were bottle holders in the front doors? not me. The door locks will automatically lock after one minute if you press "unlock" twice... There is also a "mist" feature on the windsheild wiper stalk, something I rarely ever see on any car. What else will I find on this damn thing? Does it also have a built-in humidor, or honor bar?

LOL I thought Pandora's box was the source of all evils and chaos in the world. I don't think the Versa is the root of all evil.

Whoops! I pulled a "George Bush" there... Actually, I have no complaints at all! Love the car... With any luck, Nissan will experience the same build quality and record sales that they expereince in the late 80's

I was nervous coming into this thread LOL. I actually drive a SR20DET 240sx S13 but I'm thinking about buying a Versa so I've been looking for info on them and then I saw this thread and I was like "Oh Noes!!!"

I was definatly expecting a thread about all the things that have gone wrong with a versa after purchase.

Anyways, me too, today I found out that the front seatbelts can have their height adjusted (where they attach to the "wall")

Doesn't EVERY car have a mist feature? Or were you being sarcastic here.

No, seriously, no car I have ever owned had a "mist" feature. I've had the following cars;1987 VW GTI, 1997 Mazda 626 LX, 1987 Nissan Pickup, 1987 Nissan Pathfinder, 1970 Pontiac Tempest, 1999 Nissan Sentra, 2004 Nissan Frontier, 1989 Nissan Maxima, 1992 Nissan Stanza, and finally 2007 Nissan Versa

However, I did rent a 2002 Chevy Cavalier once that had "mist," and I believe my father's 1995 Jeep Wrangler has it.

By mist feature are we talking about squirting cleaner on the windshield so the wipers can clean it or am I missing something.

No, the mist feature is the momentary on switch for the wipers that you get by pushing the stalk up instead of down. Many cars in the past 20 years have had it, it just depends on the maker. My 2001 Avalon, 2004 Sequoia, 1988 300ZX, 1995 Nissan Pickup, and 1995 Honda Civic LX all had it.

Well, I'm not going to run out and try the mist thingy today. My car is one big ice cube and the wind chill is about zero.

Maybe after we thaw out!

Thanks for the update.

One tip: You can take off the back head rests and fold the seats forward for hauling.

If you have the keyless entry or iKey systems, there is an alarm linked to it. Just like most new cars with the systems.

If you have an S without the power package, you don't have the alarm.

I guess you learn something new everyday. I knew about most of the things you speak of, but I didn't know about the unlock (I never read the manual). I'll give that a try when I head out. Good find.

I don't even think you have to press unlock twice. I think if you unlock the vehicle using the keyless entry fob but don't open a door within 1 min then the vehicle locks itself again. This feature is on many cars with keyless entry.

One other unmentioned thing with the SL is the carbon-fiber trim.

I noticed it when checking out the S model that all the trim was that super shiny silver, but when I picked up my SL, it had the carbon fiber trim on the dash and shift-knob, which was a nice touch. If only they had put it on the steering wheel too.. ah well, it's still a nice touch. Darkens the interior just a bit.
