This cant be factory wiring..

So tracking down my headlight gremlins, i came across this.. this is the driver side harness above the front wheel..

After cutting away all the electrical tape, i found three different sets of connectors like this that connect two wires into one.. This isnt factory wiring right? I cant imagine nissan doing this..

This fix is going to be a lot of research and a PITA.

That's factory splicing. Usually it has a lot of black goop over the juction and is rolled with tape to cover the goop.

What kind of gremlins are you chasing?

Im chasing down the reason why my headlights wont retract.. After cutting up the electrical tape here, i found a lot of crappy repairs to damaged wires here from previous owners.. Im on the right track though, I'll make these headlights my b****.
