Hi Guys.. I was just surfing aroudn for crap and I found this BOMZ front strut bar.. I have no idea if BOMZ is like an APC company or what. I really don't care a strut bar is a strut bar as long as it doesn't rust or break at the welds. ( i could be wrong on my opinion there)

I'm just wondering if it looks like this strut bar would clear the stock intake manifold on an RB25 using the R33 crossmember. it looks like it comes up pretty high.

give it a look tell me what you think.

Vududo- Here's a link i found on zilvia.net it has a strut tower that also connects to the firewall. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but it's a start.

The intake manifold sits high enough as it is, almost doesn't clear the hood, I don't thin you could fit a STB that is higher in there unless you use the UH mounts, then a normal one may work.

vuduoc- If i see one i'll let you know.

Bryson- if you just want a strut tower here you go to the pilot strut bars they are cheaper then the bomz one

thanks Wang I appreciate that.. I knew that already the reason I asked about this Bomz is it looked much higher than the pilot one. You have to remember I am talking about /w the RB25 in there using it's stock manifold.. the stoch manifold is so tall due to intercooler piping that a normal STB just doesn't fit.

If your just puting it in with no mount kit. then you won't be able to fit anything at all between the hood and the manifold. you have no clearance at all. So the only way you will be able to is to get a mount kit.

IMHO i would look into getting a mount kit not only is the clearance of the hood the problem, but also the transmission. It does not line up at all with the bolt holes and you would have to make a custom plate to fix this problem. Also your steering column will hit your stock downpipe. So a lot more is effected then just your hood clearance. This were the problems i ran into when i test fited me RB25. I went with mounts cause of all this problems.

ya I was thinking that too.. I'm not sure the ol' buget can hang /w a mount kit for the time being though. I am trying to pay for all this RB swpa crap .. pay off a loan.. and save up to move back to my hometown all at the same time..
