As you all know, I just finished my KA-T a while ago...

today, I spent all day fixing some stuff.. recirculating the bov which means that I have to make myself a new intake piping and weld a recirculating bung on to it...and then I made my own turbine discharge flange cuz my flange was warped..I put everything back on.. it idled like cr4p...I thought maybe its because of my burned up exhaust manifold gaskets...then I took my s13 for a run..it pulls way better than when it was N/A..I was happy...and then I parked.. let it idle.. and found out that my exhaust poured out smoke.. and it idled like cr4p...so we checked the spark plug...all of the spark plugs sparked... we found out that cylinder 2 was not firing...so we pulled off the injector plug in #2.. and it didnt do anything..so we figured that its a bad injector.. prolly clogged up to hell...I was so pissed we did a compression test on#2 emmidiately...185psi...so #2 is fine, #2 sparkplug fires... but not firing..We decided for sure that it was the injector..so now I have to find myself another 370cc SR injector..this blows.. I really wanted to get everything running right by this weekend.. :(What do you guys think? is it really the injector?

anybody happens to have any extra 370cc injectors? I'll buy it for real... help me...

oh one more thing.. do you guys know where I can get metal gasket for head/exhaust manifold?cuz all i have is that fel-pro paper gasket.. they burn easily...

Sorry for the rant and long post.. Im so tired and sad cuz Im only running on 3 cylinders.. :(

If you disconnected it and it didn't change then the cylinder isn't firing. If you are getting spark and compression then the injector is likely to be your problem.

There is a way to test injectors for operation in the fsm. I can't remember the details, but you release fuel pressure, pull fuse on fuel pump, remove distributor from timing cover and with the ignition on you should be able to rotate the distributer and hear all the injectors click on and off. Make sure you have no fuel pressure or you'll fill your cylinders with gas and cause hydrolock the next time you try to start it.

However, it wouldn't be the first time I've seen plug wires not fully connect to the spark plug. You may be able to get it to spark outside the plug well, but if it isn't tightly installed it just won't spark. Make sure the plug snaps tightly into place.

aahh thanks for respondmy buddies tested the injector today and they were sure that the #2 injector gave up. I already ordered a couple of 370cc injectors and I should get it early next week.

Im gonna get an safc2 and hopefully i can dyno tune it sometime mid summer... this JWT ecu is running way too rich on mine for unknown reason..

The JWT ecu is made to run rich to save them liability since it will run safer that way.

Unless you know this already and mean it is running even richer than it would normally; to the point of bogging badly.
