After we bought the 08 QX I was checking out the 3rd row seating and realized it was more narrow than the seating in our 05 Sequoia and the construction looked like it might be less comfortable. So I climbed back there and sat down. I'm 5-11 and I'm a tad bit tall to sit comfortably even with the seats reclined all the way and because the QX has independent rear suspension I stilll think the width was compromized somewhat compared to the seating in the solid axle 05 Sequoia. A couple days later we loaded up the rig with people and my wife rode back there. Later I told her I was dissappointed with the seating and asked her how bad it was. She said "You're Wrong!" She said the seating is up higher, you can see out better and as far as she's concerned it's more comfortable than the Sequoia seating was. She's 5'-6" so height was not a problem and I was real happy to hear she found it comfortable riding all the way back there.And by the way the 08 Sequoia is IRS and has less room width wise in the 3rd row as well. To be honest I didn't measure the 05 so I might be wrong on the whole width issue anyway.

I rode back in the 3rd row during one of our test drives and found it to be quite comfortable, second to only in comfort to the Sequoia. I think that head room is tight for 6 footers, but otherwise it is fine back there.
