Thinkware X500 DASHCAM on my Q40 - 1080P

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Youtube removed the sound on the " Speed Trap " video due to copyright song on the freaking radio while I was driving. It was not even a whole song playing on the XM radio.

I knew the road and I knew this speed trap before, that is way I was only driving 5 miles above the posted speed limit. 2 cars were passing me by and my radar detector was going off with RADAR warning , then LASER Alert.....

Here is another video using an iPhone6 on Magnet mount way up on the rear view mirror level. It would have been nice if I positioned the iPhone on the driver`s eye level to appreciate how hilly the road I was travelling in with blind hills and corners...

Maybe YouTube didn't think like your taste in music and thought it wasn't worthy of being shared :) .

On a more serious note, how is the camera's performance at night? The daytime shots looked pretty decent.

I'm considering to equip either one or both of my cars with a dashcam, and I think I would prefer recording both the front and rear of the car. I know you've had yours for a short time, but I was wondering if you've had any close calls that you've recorded. I've had a few recently, and I feel that at some point my luck may run out.

I would consider getting the X500 better night and day video quality. As long as you have an HID headlight, X500 night quality is better than the H50 model.

I will post of night driving this weekend.
I also prefer a 64Gig memory card since the 32 Gig is not enough to keep a 2 days worth of video images . That is basically 50 minutes a day of cont recording if only stick to 32 Gig.

I did not load a video on a stop light where I could still read the front car's license plate while waiting for a green light.

Here is the night video with moderate rain pouring...
