i want to know what you guys think of this setup before i start to order things.

i think im gonna go with the hotimportperformance stage 2 kit that was discussed in another thread because i comes with alot of what i was origonally looking for and the price is right.im going to list everything thats in this kit along with all the other stuff im getting so you dont have to look up the kit for its components.

stage 2 kit includes:T3/T4 hybrid turbo .50 AR compressor, .63 AR turbine, 57 trim, stage 3the SSAutoChrome manifold 3" downpipe35mm tial wastegateturbo xs RFL BOV ( but he is going to upgrade me to the HKS super sequential at no cost)18x9x3"front mount intercoolerMSD 550cc top feed injectors w/ top feed fuel rail255LPH walbro fuel pump2.5" intercooler piping (some of the ebay auctions for this kit say 2" and some say 2.5" but he confirmed to me through email that they were 2.5")Z32 MAF sensorE-Manage w/ support tool and harnessalong with all the oil lines and neccessary nuts&bolts

what else im getting:the emanage ignition narness (doubles as injector harness)Greddy Profec-B spec II boost controllerGreddy turbo timerclutch? (thinking about going with ACT and heard the street disc was nice but still want other opinions)LM-1 wideband unitand for gauges ill prolly stick with autometer boost/oil temp/and maybe water temp depending on how much $ this all adds up to.

over all i was looking to amke a kit with high quality parts that will allow me to push more boost in the future if i decide to rebuild the internals. without internals ill probably keep boost around 7psi daily and turn it up to around 10-12 when racing.

tell me what you think of this setupalso, i read someone saying the LM-1 could be hooked up to something like a turbo timer for a display. just wondering if anyone could confirm this.

Sounds like a good plan to me bro, What kind of display do you mean? It shows the current AF's in real time already on the LM-1. If you want the datalogged version you need a laptop.

I think someone said they hooked the LM_1 up to their Profec E-01 (the boost controller/eManager programmer). IIRC they used one of the extra input channels and calibrated it to read the voltage (0-5V??) from the LM-1.

I was looking at that site yesterday. Probably the best value Ive seen. Stage 2 goes for $2899. I hope to run an identical setup, including the stage 2 parts, the wideband, and the 7 daily/ 12 weekend boost levels. I think the whole setup will run $4000-4200 (I'll probably use a MBC instead of the ProfecB).

Edit: The Profec E-01 lists for $680!!

the thing is you gotta search around and be in the right place at the right time, I got my Profec E-01 and emanage with injector and ignition harness shipped for $520, ebay comes through with the clutch.

If you are going with e-manage get the pressure sensor instead of the MAF (cheaper and plugs right in)

WD: i realize the LM-1 has a display on it but i would rather hide the wideband controller unit and have just a display that is more in view when driving.

IWannaS15: thanks, i am now thinking about getting the E-01 after checking it out. i think i might as well pay a little over $100 more for the E-01 rather than getting the profec b and then ill have a better boost controller along with tons of other useful features and im also thinking that getting a labtop to use would be difficult so this option is looking more attractive.

viruse77: yea, im gonna look on ebay for a better deal on the E-01 but the emanage will already come in the kit. i dont know how you got that good of a deal, was it used?

Checkered: what does the pressure sensor do? is it in place of the MAFS because the Z32 MAF comes in the stage 2 kit.

The pressure sensor makes the emanage work like a vehicle that uses MAP instead of MAF. I'm not convinced that MAP is the way to go for big numbers. But thats just me...

I didn't plan of having my LM-1 in the car permanantly. Just to get things tuned, then I'll rely on the Knock meter and various other gauges to keep me safe.

im guessing with the MAP sensor you mount it before the TB so you dont have issues with BOV venting to atmosphere. i was origonally going to keep the wideband display up all the time so i could keep an eye on things but im not sure i want to use it all the time now since the actual sensor doesnt last as long as normal sensors

The map sensor just gets hooked to a vacuum line.http://www.hondata.com/3barinstall.html
