Hello everyone!!!! Just got introduced to this forum and I am enjoying all of the info !!! I was looking into an 89 240sx that is bone stock and has about 148000 miles and in fair condition... I live in Minot, ND and have a lot of time to work in the garage... Just wondering what people think about doing an SR20DET swap into this SE model 240sx... My current vehicle is a 2003 Nissan Sentra with the QR25DE... And its just too damn expensive and difficult to try and do anything with this car.... Thanks guys

Welcome and SR20 swaps are not common around here. Great motor, as beginner friendly as it gets and continue to read up on the topics to learn more.

I was born in Minot, so when you say you have a lot of time I know you aren't kidding. As far as your 240, It's a great chassis to swap in the sr20. You have the sohc ka24 right now, so an engine swap is especially desireable (sorry sohc lovers). Good Luck and Welcome to the Forum!

yeeeeeeee haaaaaaa

add a gt2871R or Gt30add some 740cc NISMO injectors a quality header with full 3 inch exhaust a Power FC for management300zx MAFupgrade to 300zx brakesput some cams in there

make 330-350 whp and get 25mpg

after doing that go out and kick the ever living s*** out of every v8 muscle car you find from Camaro, Mustang to Corvettes -- it all makes you feel better --

Our cars can be made insanely fast for relatively cheap so enjoy it.
