Hi guys, let me introduce myself first. My name is Manuel and I have a '91 240SX fastback. This was originally my project car and my daily driver was a '89 Coupe, but the latter one blew up so I had to finish my project car early and use it daily. I originally wanted to swap in a CA18DET but because of lack of time and money that was not possible. Currently my chassis has 290,000 mi, but the engine has about 60k km. It was imported from Japan and I do have the paperwork to prove it. It is mildly modified sporting a CAI, custom built racing cams, and racing camshafts. I wanted to loomk for a beater during the spring and finish the S13 as a project. This time tough, I want to turbo the KA24DE. Are there any things I should look out for? The engine is in great shape. Is there a chance you guys could post a list of parts needed for the turbo upgrade with the list of respective manufacturers?If this gets too long just send me an e-mail at [email protected] will post pictures of my car by tomorrow hopefully. Thank you for your help. I just want to know exactly what I am getting involved in and start tallying the parts up now.

wow anthony your such a nice guy. lolz i guess your really out on a mission to make all KA's into KA-T's.

edit: oh yeah thanks for helpin me out last night didn't mean to bother you man. i'm just goin to leave the car for a week or so until i can my turbo back from the rebuild place. how long does it usually take?

Anthony yeah, I meant cams, I was just tired as hell. Well I would love to get your help once the KA-T project starts. If there are any meets, or get-togethers just let me know. Actually Anthony, I have taken on many WRX's in the mountains in Rockland County and once a white STI. When the curves come along the playing field evens out and skill can take over turbo and AWD. I guess the fact that most of the other drivers are freaking kids who just got their license helps too, but I haven't lost to any of them yet.

yeah... i thought you meant you beat them in a straight line. i was gonna say.... yeah me and my friend were so much faster than this guy we raced who had a super fast wrx (300 hp at the wheels)... but that was in the turns. he always caught up or took off on the straights... but he was just inexperienced and scared. if he was a better driver i doubt it would have been that way. i've never driven a wrx, so i don't know how they handle in the turns.

wrx's dont handle too well stock. however a STi are monsters. my friend have taken it to 140mph cornering on the van wyke expressway. i can never do that with my 240 even with suspension mods. but my friend with the STi is a good driver. so yes balls and skills definitly has something to do with it becasue i know 3 people with evo's. 1 of them sucks bad at driving that he got owned by a lowered mazda millenia S on the highway on the corners. while my other 2 friends with teh EVO will take those corners at over 140+mph at the same highway as the STi because they always race together.
