I think I want to sell my Q45. Right now I really want somthing in a 5 speed. I really want a 300zx I really do love my Q and hate to sell it, but I think I might. Any opinions? What should I ask for it? Here's what I've done recently, Chain guides, transmission cooler, replaced #1 fuel injector, belts, transmission flush with pan drop 2X, diff flush, brake fluid flush. I have all the service records since 92. Interior and exterior are in great condition. You can see my Q on the G50 owners check in thread. if you can remember I had to tow it three weeks ago from my transmission filter being crappy, but now it drives great, shifts smooth and on time. What do you guys think?

I think you should keep it and get something else. Selling Q is never beneficial, especially if you have a nice one.

And the other thing that bugs me is the lack of aftermarket goodies. Yea, I can upgrade the suspension, ECU. But I want to do more with it. Headers!

The stock exhaust was perfectly designed... there is no reason to get new headers except OEM.

If you want upgrades there are a TON of engine mods out there along with: diff, brakes, suspension pieces, drive shaft, transmission, you name it. Don't give up on the car because they don't sell the parts at Autozone

I'm not giving up the car because of lack of parts. I never go to autozone. It would be nice if I could get some aftermarket headlights that "bolt in". I might just park it, get a car in a 5 speed (300zx) Then when I have a crap full of money, I'll dump it right into it.

Pretty far advanced for its time, so all modifications would have to be top quality to improve on it.

If you want lots of modifications, get a VW bug.

I'd definitely try to sell it on NICO first, since folks here will most appreciate your time and money.

I was thinking about getting a 2+2 Z32 later this year. I'm getting a nice $5500 grant check. Unfortunately with rising 300ZX resale value, that will buy only part of a low-mileage, well-maintained Z. Thats okay, because its a collectible, legendary sports car. St Louis, I learned, has an awesome Z-car club with regular cruises and lots of tech help.

Factoid: The 300ZX shared the "10 best in the world" title with the 1990 Q45.

I'm all set with a air cooled "J" box.

I feel that. I'm so itching to find something cool to put my VH45 into from my '92 active Q. The trans is starting to slip in reverse and doesn't shift when cold very well. The active suspension is further gone than I want to fool with and I have my other '93 Q now for a daily driver. Then I got my 540i BMW (for which I just 2 days ago purchased a 56mm turbo and wastegate for a remote mount). I'm thinking of doing the Z32 trans adapt (or W58 or R154 toyota box, depending on price and power I end up with) and then putting it into a Z32, RX7, or 240/260/280z. Hmmm

Here's some pictures I took today. Like I said it's really clean. the drivers mat has a wear mark but thats it for the interior. The outside is very clean also. Anybody Interested? I have no idea on what to ask for.
