hey guys, new here....soon i will most likely be in the market for a better daily driver than the truck i have now, and a g35 is one i'm considering. i'm interested in the sedan only, and 07 +...preferably with a manual transmission but those seem very hard to find.

anything you guys think i should know would be great...any reliability issues, fuel mileage, things to look for before purchase, common repairs, etc. oh also, not interested in awd models, two wheel only.

as i said before the reason i'm looking is for something more practical....i'll be driving over 100 miles a day 5 days a week for work, 90% interstate, cruising between 80 and 85. generally i'm a very aggressive driver so i know mileage won't be great but i'd like at least mid 20's.

hmm trying to think of anything else important....the car's i'm considering: last gen TL (the good looking ones), bmw 3 and 5 series, is250/350, g35/37 if great price. i'm most concerned with driving enjoyment, and luxury and performance "bang for your buck"

thanks

Welcome to Nico!!
TO me the big difference in the 07 and 08 is that the 07 had a very sensitive gas pedal.
The 08 is better, but doesn't have the feel of my 04 coupe pedal.
Good Luck!

I agree with this. My '07 sedan has a very touchy pedal compared to my '08. Otherwise I can't really find any fault in it at the moment.

ok....i drove an 07 sport the other day...it was awesome. i've driven a 3, a 5, and a tl....i agree i'm not leaning toward bmw because of maintenance costs and interior...although driving them was awesome....i actually really like the tl, except for it being front wheel drive, and was almost set on it....then i drove the g35....gotta say it really surprised me. i love how it drove...great steering feel and brakes, good power...i pretty much loved it.

what kind of highway mileage do you guys generally get? is there anything i should know or really look for? i know everyone here is going to biased on which car they think is better, and i appreciate that...but i'm looking for any model specific details i should be on the lookout for. also whats a fair price for an 07 2 wheel drive?....the one i drove was a sport with navigation, 45k miles for 25.9

I get between 22 and 25mpg in both G's. The G35s I have was purchased last year used for my wife, has every option available (including tech and 4AWS), had 40k miles and I got it for 21k. It needed tires and a brake job so round it off to 22k. We've had it almost a year now which means, to me, 25.9 is too high but it also depends on the area you live in.
