What do you mean need to see more of the QX4? It's in plain view! And at least the whole car is in the picture.

I think he means more pics, like of the engine, interior, stuff like that. Remember, you're on a Infiniti forum. We all live, and breathe Infiniti. For those of us that don't have the QX$ ,you are our link to how fine a truck it is.

Hooo boy. <rolls up sleeves>

Lauren, it's *wonderful*. You look very beautiful and your QX4 is very clean (my favorite color combo).

How's that? :D

*Blush*Come'on don't tell me you like the picture when it really isn't that great. Everything has to be perfect for me, and that definately isn't perfect. Not to mention I was mad because a part for my car was supposed to come in yesterday, and didn't. But seriously I am gonna take another picture that one looks horrible:rolleyes . Thank you for being nice though.

99, you sound ust like my wife. She is beautiful, but hates every picture I take of her. I thought the pic was great.

By the way, what did you decide on the painting?

Ha, thats what my fiancé says about me.:pface And as for the car I am pretty sure i am gonna go with painting it, i just want to make sure that the paint on the plastic won't crack. I've heard they save something to put in the paint when painting plastic, flex or something?

You also know just what i want to hear: "You look very beautiful..." :D But i can understand if you don't mean it, because you never really answered me when i said that...:( But anyway, i have better pictures of myself ;), it didn't help that i was in such a bad mood both those days, and also the day before!:D Anyway, i'm sorry for rambling...i'll go now...

An elastomer is added to allow flexibility on the composite parts like the bumper covers.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t

Back to the painting. I had my front bumper replaced, and painted on my Q, and the guy didn't put enough flex agent, and the paint actually started to crack and peal about a week later. The front bumper looked like crap, for about 3 weeks. It was right around Christmas. The silver car, with HUGe black splotches on the front bumper.

"Get ouuta my way, or I'll push you out, with my beat up luxury car"

Then he painted the front and rear, with the correct ammount, and clear coated it a couple of times, and it had held up fine, for the last 40,000 miles, or so. The clear coat actually made the color a shade darker, and in bright lights, it is obvious, but in natural light, it is fine.

I onpy paid $75.00 for my rear bumper, and the guy painted it in his shop, so don't worry.

I am sure he will do a good job. I was just explaining why I got a cheap job - I only paid for a cheap job. In paint shops, you get what you pay for. I was trying out a fried of a friend, who was trying to get his business off the ground. The final paint job really looks great.

I too am a detailer. I have a 1/2 dozen different sized and stiffness paint brushes I use for cleaning the air vents, and other interior places in my cars. Being anal has its rewards.:D

No, just love driving new (or as clean as new) cars. I actually sell airconditioning equipment for commercial and industrial buildings. (Boring).

Ohhh!:) And i know what you mean about driving in clean cars, i can't stand it when my car is dirty. It's funny though, because when people come in to get their car cleaned, i always get looks because i am a girl in the automotive business! Even when customers come for my dad (i'm located right next to him) they look at me sort of weirdly, and i'm sure they are wondering what i'm doing there!:D And another quick question...do you use a buffer machine?

Not well. I have only hand waxed my cars, since high school, when I used to detail cars for my neighbors, and burned the edge of a hood on an RX-7.

The I30t is black, and I don't like swirl marks. I am considering a professional cleaning, buffing, and touch-up of the car. there is NO door dings, just rock and bug chips in the hood, and front bumper are. There is a little acid rain damage, but very light, and not hrough the clear coat.

The Q has 10 years of road nicks and parking lot dings, but the paint is still extremely good. Not nearly as delicate as the Black. It gets babyed, but I don't park it at the end of the lot. There are roughly 25 dings in it, only 3 severe, the rest are ripples from doors or shopping carts. only about 10 chips.
