Thinking of painting lower part of bumper, your thoughts?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I'm thinking of painting the lower part of the rear bumper body color.

Has anyone tried this yet?

That is a FABULOUS idea! That is the one thing I don't care for on the EX35, the gray lower bumper/body. I think it would look great body color!

It's so hard to tell how it would look from those pics...I dunno if I hate the looks because of the painted lower parts or because of that dreadful shade of vomit green.

The white FX that did it there looked pretty good. I'm really on the fence right now.

I am picking up my FX next week and am convinced to paint the lower bumpers. It's absolutely amazing to me that for a $40K+ vehicle, this is not standard......oh well. Let me know what you decide.

If a base model = $33,800 USD, that would equal:602,180,800 Dong

For a loaded model at $44,765 USD, that would be:797,533,240 Dong

i know a lot of developing countries such as vietnam, china, india has 200% tax on cars. i have many friends from that region and they all say the same thing. How do you do an infiniti for only 40k in vietnam. i just thought it is a great deal that you can buy it for only 40k

I have no idea what it sells for in Vietnam. I was only using the US MSRP as a guestimate and then converting it to Vietnamese DONG.

paints show slightly different colors in plastic than on the metal chasis,

it will be very hard to paint match, and if you care enough about the gray plastic to want to paint it, i'm gonna assume you care enough about the mismatch in paint color afterwards

i've had numbers paint job horror stories on my Acura TL, from experience i can tell you to just leave it be. The paint will STILL look off even if you re-painted the WHOLE car. Colors just cure differently on plastic
