Thinking of moving to Lake City, FL

Anybody know anything about the area? Housing prices, crime, gas prices, weather, ect..?

My company is opening a building down there and are needing some specialized employee's. I'd be one of many putting in a resume so my odds of getting one of the jobs isn't too likely, though if I did get it, I'd obvously have to move and thus the reason for my post.
