Hi,

Im just considering moving from my 05 Acura TL to a 07 G35 Coupe with 54k miles.

It is laser red with khaki interior. Great price (under 18k)

I have usually dont most of my TL maintenance myself and was wondering about the ease of DIY on the G35, cost of ownership, any experiences besides the oil consumption issue, and anything i should be particularly aware of when going to the dealer to look at the car?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to NICO

There are not too many maint issues to deal with other than standard flush/fills. Some people have warped rotor issues from time to time which means the rotors need to be turned. At least the Nissan rotors are not disposable like other companies so you can get a couple turns on them. Some have issues with the inside front tires getting eaten up but those are usually due to toe problems.

my old 2005 G35x gave me zero problems other than a replacment battery... had it from 18k miles to 70k miles (that was all done in a year and a half) so the car took a pounding from me and it seemed to love it. Of course she got the best maintence, but thus im on my second G.

The Acura voice/bluetooth/nav whole system is much better then an Infiniti system. A lot of people complain about that, other then that, they love the car.

Only other thing I can think of is the Window issue and the headunit issue.
