I'm thinking of lowering my car. I've done some researching here and elsewhere and have narrowed my selection down to two possibilities:

JIC Magic FLT-A2 VIP Luxury coilovers.

or

Tein Flex coilovers with the EDFC controller.

From what I've read, there are a few people on here and elsewhere that have the JICs and seem very happy with them. There's been some mention of the Teins, but I haven't run across anyone that has them. I like the fact with that the Tein EDFC controller I would be able to control the damping factor from inside the car.

So basically I'm looking for some input from someone with first hand knowledge. I'm hoping to close the wheel gap (nothing insanely low) and improve handling without comprising too much ride quality. I can handle a little more stiffness in the suspension, but not too much - hence the appeal of the Teins.

Thanks!

Tony

Tony...I'm wondering what you ever found. I'll be getting an 08' at the end of this month...I was planning on getting Eibach Sports. Did you end up getting anything...? If so, what did you get...?

I have not decided on either one at this point. Although if I did get one I'd probably go with the JICs because of they're continued popularity here and on another Infiniti forum.

The biggest reason I haven't decided to lower the car is that I'm not sure I want to keep it. No sense in investing a few thousand dollars in the car if I may end up selling it.

I am leasing my car, so I understand your position. I just got a quote from Stillen for $242 for the Eibach Sport Springs...I think I might just stick with those. I did a search on here and didn't find anything regarding the Eibachs for anything 2005 and newer....kind of surprised...

I have the JIC's and they GREAT . I have the sport, and the ride is the same. I was at the same problem last year. I heard Tein is a stiffer ride. IMO get the JIC.

I had the Eibachs installed at Stillen recently. The car looks, rides, and corners much better. I think the Eibachs are great bang for the buck when compared to coilovers.

Tony...I just got my Eibach's on last Friday...they look PERFECT !!!!! They claim 1.5" front and 1" rear. It actually looks like a little bit more in the front. I am SO happy. I am getting pics taken tomorrow and I will post them for you...the springs are only like $250 + install...so probably a bit cheaper than you were expecting...???

Yes, that would be a LOT cheaper than the JICs. Unfortunately, I bought another car and I'll be selling the M45 soon. But thanks for the info and I'm so happy you love the Eibachs!!

It's been a while since I've been around, but if I remember correctly, the JICs were less popular because of the higher cost, but the ride quality was close to stock, if not better.

Anyone else care to chime in?

Hey I have a 07 m45 with Megan on them now but I had a set of tein on it first I would have to say try not 2 go the Spring direction they tend to blow the factory struts so stick with coilovers if you can. It really depends on what you want your car to handle like springs give you a bouncy feel coilovers give you a more stiff feeling if you want a really stiff ride try the megan alot of people don't like them but they are stiffer then JIC and Tein now you can get JIC and tein to adjust your spring rate for a fee but once again you need to know how you want your car to handle all of the coilovers I mention are great.
