DRL on mine mean Xenon on all the time.
I had a friend who spoke with the manager at the RIV. They mentioned that the announcement would likely occur later on this week, probably more towards Friday. Seems to me like everyone is expecting bad news, however it sounds as if they're expecting good news to come of this, as my friend was more reassured of the announcement than anything.
Now I'm just waiting for my form 2 to be sent to me. RIV just finally responded to an email I sent them on November 7th, before I found out my vehicle was a pre-September version, and this was basically what they told me:
Quote »At the moment, we are waiting to hear back from Transport Canadaregarding the importability of your vehicle.
We understand that there has been some ambiguity regarding the List ofAdmissible Vehicles from the United States, as it is subject to revisionwithout notification. We request however at this time that you remainpatient while we wait for the involved parties to provide definitiveanswers regarding these issues. We are expecting a resolution within thenext few days. As soon as it is released to the press, it will be postedon our website
http://www.riv.ca. We recommend that you monitor our websiteduring the week for an update.
In the meantime, please forward any comments you have regarding thevehicles' admissibility to the original equipment manufacturer.[/quote]To me, expecting a "resolution" is a good thing, but I would reserve judgement until we actually hear the announcement. Either way, it looks like they're about 7 days behind in their email correspondences, so I'll be waiting for a bit for my form 2 to arrive.
