hey guys, i got some money saved up and i was looking at aluminum bushings. What I want to know is if anyone has ever installed them into their verts and how the ride is.

Are yours completely shot? Otherwise, aluminum collars should do the work. I have aluminum collars and feel some vibration. I don't think you will like aluminum bushings. If you really want to replace them, go with urethane bushings.

It is harsh (riden in some coupes/hatches with them), but would definately help the feel. Might only want it if the Vert will not be daily driven.

Installed them on my coupe, but its still up in the air so haven't driven it on them yet.

Quite an ordeal to install the solid ones in a subframe and to install the subframe back after they are in.

I installed the ES inserts and noticed a good difference. My vert has been subject to 15 or so years of midwest winter and the bushings still weren't deteriorated.

I highly recommend collars to everyone. If you don't install them, bushings will be shot sooner or later, and you have to remove the subframe to install new bushings, and it's not an easy task. You can tell their condition if you remove lower caps.

I have the RS-R insterts and they made a huge difference with my busted up subframe mounts. I have the energy suspension pineapple bushings for the s13 but have not yet installed them. They were $65. You should look into them. They replace the entire bushing

I am in a similar dillema.

I have new Stance Gr + Pro coilovers going into my vert this spring/summer, and I was redoing most of the suspension/brakes in the process.

I've got pretty much new arms all the way around, with the exception of LCAs (might try to freshen the old ones up a bit...), and Hadn't decided on aluminum bushings for the subframe yet...

I was looking at these: http://www.phase2motortrend.com/ensusupibus1.html

But later found out they are backordered / no longer in production, so who knows where I will find a set of poly-bushings for the S13.

I am going to end up going with the SPL aluminum bushings, and remember that the car I am driving on the road now has a more sportier feel (along with more chassis vibration...).

So, really, are the aluminum bushings that bad, or will it be a harshness you can get use to? I don't want to go bouncing out of my seat if I hit a tiny bump or change in height/levels of the pavement, so as long as it's nothing like that I don't think I'd mind aluminum bushings..

I bought mine from them. I also ordered a fan controller. when I recieved my fan controller I was like "Where the heck are my bushings?" I found out they were out of stock. A week later I was about to order the bushings from enjuku but I got the bushings in the mail from phase2. I was kind of pissed they did not call or email me to tell me they will send them when they get them. Anyways, if you want them you should give phase2 or enjuku a call.
