Lately I've been thinking a lot about getting rid of my M45 Sport and getting a G37 S Coupe but I'm not sure. Nothing is wrong with my car and I Love it! As of right now, I have no kids and no real need to have a back seat and I just love the way a G37 looks when lowered! If I were to get one (Not in a rush) I would get the White one. It looks very clean plus the paint is much easier to maintain. Pics below:

Those are just some examples. I'm sure I can get into one of those and keep the same amount of payments I have now for my current car. I could just get the G37, get some springs and tint it and I would be done. Of course I would transfer my Amp and subwoofer to the G.

The Details:
My car right now has 83K and I got it last year around this time with 61.5K miles on the clock.
I'm wanting to get a 2010 G37S since that's the year that had some upgrades to it. I could get that with a lower amount of miles and not have to worry too much of high mileage maint.
I was also thinking of leasing a 2013 G since the prices for those are stupid cheap! They are just trying to get rid of them and make way for the new wave of infiniti's rolling in.

I Love my M, love the space and power and I love bigger sized cars but the G is very fast and sporty. If I'm not mistaken, 0-60 on my M is 5.9 seconds whereas the G is 5.3 seconds. The G does the quarter mile in about a second less I believe.

I would get into the G not only because it will be more fun/updated car but also the mileage will be lower and I wont have to worry too much about high mileage maint.

What do you guys think? Why wouldn't you want to get a G?

Personally I would just upgrade the M. I have driven and riden in quite a few Gs and 370s. Yes, they are more sporty (read louder, bumpier) and are fun once in a while. I like the extra space in the M, especially the trunk for hauling stuff around. Plus, in just day to day driving the M is relaxing. It is also far more unique than the G. If you have maintained the car well then the mileage really does not matter. A car, in theory, can have problems at 10K miles or 100K miles, they are just machines. When driving them I really missed the torque of the V8. After a few days in a G I was completely and absolutely tired of it (rentals when I travel). Granted, I change a lot of stuff on my M but I look forward to driving it each and every day.

There are very few Ms with our design on the roads now and I reckon they will become even more unique as time moves forward. I wouldn't replace mine with the newer style at any price. That said, I have always liked the body style of the G coupes. It's like the older Ms - aggressive, muscular, and posh at the same time. My g/f just sold her G37 convertible about 2 months ago and it was brilliant with the top down. It lacked the ride quality of my M, but it was not at all a harsh ride. A G37 coupe in the proper colour (like white), and smoked tail lights will definitely stand out from the crowd. The only drawback for me is the interior. It's not at all as posh looking as the M, and lacks head room and leg room for a 6'3 person. I fit in them, just not comfy.

Another note to mention is my car has every option the G would have, minus the HD display and Bluetooth audio streaming built in. I already have an Ipod hookup that I use to charge at the same time but those are very small details.

I was worried more about mileage. I was once given a g37 sedan that was not a sport as a loaner. I am going this weekend to try and test drive the G37 S coupe.

I am also thinking about a g or z. It's hard for me to get back into monthly payments for a car. Once you pay it off you'll have an influx and can do more mods to the v8. If you get back into payments you're stuck for what 3-4 years!!

They are some very nice looking cars and will def. scoot down the road when pushed. If you are into modding, this is where you need to go. There is a plethora of parts for these cars and it'll make you spend some serious coin once you get started. With that being said, it really all depends on what you are looking for.

When I traded up to my 2011 M, I considered the G37 sedan 6M. But as Lars mentioned, those cars are not designed for large framed people. After a short test drive I came to realize that it was too cramped, and that's just the drivers area. For someone of a smaller statue, you shouldn't have any issues.

Either way, you can't loose. Because if you take the G37 and mod it, you will have some fun in it. But keeping the 45, I'm sure you'll continue to enjoy it as well.

GL to ya and let us know how it goes.
