If/when we get a Versa, this will be on my projects list with a few modifications.

Nice!! I'd definitely be into that!! You have a larger (albeit higher) flatter floor and a storage option. Sign me up!

Do they not have an English speaking alternative? I understand that is for the identical Tiida but surely there is a Nissan USA version!

I bet they will have something, but how long before that happens is anyones guess. Someone on another site did the math and its like $250 for that one. I think I can make a reasonable copy of the real thing for less than $100 in materials.

That would be so great for me, if it can have enough room in the main container part for my collapsible hand truck. That would solve the problem of my cargo area plastic pieces getting scratched to hell.

Without haveing the car right now, I can get started with sizing it up, and I dont know what color interior yet so I need to hold off there too, but I am going to start checking out what materials I should play with(wood easiest to come by, but not my first choice,). I plan on covering each piece (even the walls) with indoor/outdoor carpet that matches (well as close as I can get) the interior. If we get a car in the next month or so, I will measure and create prints on how to do it.

My plan is to piano hing the main section and add a small air shock to hold it in the open position. It has to be easily dis-assembled just in case I would need that room for something else (altho I doubt I would but ya never know). Eventually, I think it would be cool to have a removable bin that fit in the side compartments so it would be like stackable storage.

I bet that this would be the way to go for anyone thats puttng a sub back there as well.

Auto parts stores or upholstery shops will have automotive carpet to match your interior.

I am not handy enough to make one of these, but I would buy it in a second if Nissan offered it as an accessory.

I had a thought about making it. Use plexiglass, cut top and bottom to a size just a tiny bit smaller than the "versa" rear cargo mat (if you have one, of course.) Then use thinner plexiglass to wrap around the box, cut a hole in the top, add a hinge and you're in business. A clear box would be better than a dark, opaque one in my opinion, because you can see everything that's in it.

I'm going to be pricing some plexiglass this week, so I'll let the forum how possible this will be.
