I have had this motor built for a year now sitting around waiting to go in my s14 because my stock block has served me well at the 300 hp level being plenty for the street It is still running great but i want to turn it up some more now that i'm use to this power level. they were right when they said boost is addictive and you'll want more power any way the reason for my post is that i am debating on wether or not to get a re-tune from jim wolf since my new motors compression is 9:1 instead of the stock 9.5:1. I'm already pulling 8% fuel with a apexi neo any way. so is it worth the 100.00 for a re-tune and wait for the compression difference ? I'm going for 450 hp once it is broke in

think of it this way, you spent a stack of cash rebuilding your motor with forged parts. a 100 dollar reflash is damn cheap insurance, in my mind youd be stupid not to.

I agree, $100 for the retune is chump change next to the built motor.

Uh you dont need a retune off the start, its not a high priority issue. With a 9.5:1 ratio map, you will actually be running a more conservative map(if its anything more than just a baseline tune to begin with) than that of a 9:1.

So really youd be safer with your current tune lol.

yeah i knew that, but i dont know how much difference there would be between the 2 tunes is. is it enough difference to spend the time and money on it. some times it takes jim wolf a while to get things done.

Theres little to no difference, and its really not worth the time IMO.
