I am new to the 240 scene but cant wait to jump into it. I have been saving for a few months and want to get the 240 and start from the ground up.

i was thinking of offering this guy $1500 cash for it...he says it shows 180k on it and the its automatic which sucks. do you guys think its worth it? or should i stop being so impatient and wait for the perfect 240 to come my way.http://dallas.craigslist.org/d....html

Must be something really wrong with it, if it looks that clean and it's that cheap

It looks like a good deal to me, but I don't know what the usual prices are for an s14 an TX. You can always offer him the $1,500 and then if he says no just give him the 2.

everyone says the motor is rebuilt in there 240

you gotta ask him exactly what hes done

the headgasket probably blew, then he had everything built, but by who?

just listen to the motor. offer him whatever you think is ok and see what happens... 2000 isn't much for a 240 at all, and you can build it from the ground up and repair everything on it for cheap

If the oil looks brand new, be weary. Might be a Front Main Seal leak...

If the motor is covered in black sut, turn away

went to look at car...outside in great condition interior in good condition...i drove it around and didnt hear any weird noises. I tried to take the key out of ignition and the key along with ignition came out with it. I tried to put it in park it got to reverse and got stuck so i had to put my weight into it to get it into park. other than that it seems pretty good. no soot on engine, no leaks. It kinda seemed like that engine made a clackin noise when i popped hood but very feint.
