Hi, So i have had my Z31-T for about a year and i have loved every minute of looking and working on it. But i have yet to even drive my Z31 and i'm thinking of getting a 91 Z32 TT. I would still keep my Z31 as a long term project. and have the Z32 as the more fun daily car. I only have a few little plans for the Z32 and a lot of big plans for the Z31. But yeah. I have a 92 Chevy 1500 pick-up that i want to get out of very bad. and i actually found somoene to buy it for $4,500 which is about 1/2 of what the Z32 i want price. but here are a few of my questions---The car is a 91 300ZXTT. i heard the 91's were the slowest ones made. i was wondering if that was true?---The car is also Automatic, which quite frankly i kind of like since i'm not overly good with stick yet. and i'd love an auto for everyday driving. But again i heard Auto TT's are "dog**** slow" and just wanted your opinions on weather i should get the Auto or keep looking for a 5spd TT. ---i really want this one cause it has everything i want. Silver/with black interior. Twin Turbo. under 100K miles. so what do you guy's think? or should i sell my truck and find a decent SUV (Since i live in WI and we have winter) oh if i got the Z32 i will have a beater for winter. well any help would be appreciated. thanks - Nick

the 91's are not significantly faster or slower than the other years, I seem to recall something about 96 being a bit slower but not significantly and that might be due to the weight gain, I am a fan of the manual trans, if your not too good at driving a stick and have a dailay driver thats an auto your gonna continue to be not bery good with the manual, if you drive a manual every day it will become second nature

and from what i found the performance data on all the Z32 tt's was the same within a small margin but somehow the auto looks to be a bit slower which is a suprise to me

I'd also go with manual transmission....why buy a fast sports car and get an auto transmission?? Anyways, thats my 2 cents.....good luck with the search for a Z32 and let us know what happens

Well first off, no TTZ32 is slow. The 96's had less horsepower do to the deletion of the VVT and all that added OBD2 crap.

Using it as a daily driver is not the best idea unless you have a good income for the upkeep. I just finished doin' an external overhaul of my engine (60K plus all the hoses and vacuum lines) and spent $600, give or take, on parts. Plus labor can get out right outragious. Thank god I work for Nissan so I'm free :D

Now the practacilty of a Z in rain and snow are not for the faint of heart, meaning, that rearend loves to get loose in these conditions.

All in all, I love my TTZ. This is my second one and I'm still lookin' for convertible to add to my collection.

Thanks for the info. As far as up keep on them i think i will be just fine with it. cause i have alot of friends that are great with cars so i'm sure we could fix it if nothing else i'm good friends with a guy who owns a local shop.

As far as the Daily Driving plan... i should have rephrased that. The car wouldn't get drivin in the snow PERIOD! rain...maybe but in my family we have an extra car for "bussiness use" that i could use if it rains. then as far as winter i'm sure i'd just buy a truck for 500bucks.

That's the same thing my brother and dad said! They both are big Corvette guy's My dad is looking at getting a new C6 he has a 78 Corvette,63 Corvette. My brother has a 96 C4 vette with the M6. So there all about me getting one in stick, they'd rather see me have a vette though lol
