As the title states I am considering buying a QX4 for the wife to drive, no specific one in particular though. We are both still in college (unfortunetly) & she needs a nice dependable vehicle & since I love my R50 Pathy, I thought 'hey why not a QX4?' She is not into wheeling or "roughing it" (even though her current Sentra has not had AC for some 4 years, the drivers side door doesn't close completely, has no front speackers, numours dents-most of them from her grandmother backing into it on multiple occassions, & the Sentra dies on left hand turns... every time) I thought I'd stick with the R50 frame/engine/somewhat style but give it a touch of luxury. Of course you know me, I'll put 2" lift coils (I'll just tell the wife the old suspension is wore out & this gets it back to "stock height") but I promise that I wouldn't "butcher it" the way I have my Pathy. I wouldn't mind a nice set of 16" chrome rims even, with some BFG Allterrains of course.

Just bored & thought I'd throw that out there... later kids.

DO IT!

she would feel right at home in a nissan. My family's had a few old school sentras and certain things in the QX4 remind me of them

She likes driving around my R50 as it is, so I thought it would be the nautural progression.

You cannot resist the power of the dark side!

Do it! Do it! Just make sure it's black, at least an '01 and has low miles.

You'll love it, like a town-car version of your machine!

You know if I went with a black one, then I don't know if I'd be able to resist strapping some black rims on that *****... Plus I'd probably supercharge the hopefull QX4 instead of my Pathy (which is the project for the summer). If I have more horsepower in my ride then I'd use it... she wouldn't, but it'd be nice to have it there, you know, for trips & what not... God I just wanna go fast in an R50!

then get the 01+ like lax said, with the VQ35! VG reliability, and the funny putt putt sound it makes, is great and all, but i'd rather be spinning some tires with G35 sounding exhaust!!!

I thought about that but the problem is, that there is a big difference in price between like a '97 or '98 to say a '01 or '02

Idk, I may be looking to sell mine and get a newer QX4 or a BMW.
