Are there any particular problems with cars of that year? Do you recommend buying it? Thanks a lot.Any help is highly appreciated!!

1. body rust, if you plan on keeping the vehicle for higher performance rebuild.

2. timing chain guides. when old timiching chain gets loose and stretched, it starts hitting the guides thus making annoying sounds. if left alone for another many thousand miles on a bad oil, it wears them out and breaks them. Solution is to replace it on a CA. DO NOT competely remove them, just replace with new ones. Correct me if i'm wrong guys; you remove them completely on a ka24de, but not on CA.you change them, because they're going to make ticking sound, marble in a can. Can do it yourself. Just takes 2-3 hours. Theres a sticky somewhere here about it. just use search button on the upper right.

3. YES!! unless previous owner really abused it. Meaning, no maintenance. pop the hood, and look inside the oil cap. if it looks veryyyy reddish, it means oil wasn't changed on time. the word abuse is used very inappropriately on vehicles. I drive mine excessively hard, and yet the engine in better shape than my mothers 2002 toyota camry.look under to see if transmission is leaking or not.

Rest of the stuff, suspension, differential, steering, i wouldn't worry about it. It is 15 year old car, and they are worn out!! can be replaced very easily when they go out too. Cheap and you can do it yourself. Just come here, search, and ask us.

Oh. and welcome to NICO. The best nissan/infinity club on the internet.

check the bottom of the window on the back hatch (if its fastback) i found a nasty leak into my trunk when it rained for the first time. Also look at the sunroof where the hinges meet the glass.
