Thinking of buying a 17 RedSport400 - Recall?

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

Hey everyone,

I have been researching buying a Red Sport 400 Q60 (2017) for the past few weeks. I have narrowed my search down to 3, 2 at dealerships and 1 from a private party (personal friend). I noticed there is an open recall re: the fuel pump on the car, and wanted to see if this is something people here on the board have had issues with, or is this a routine dealer fix.

Also - any major changes with the 2017 vs the 2018 model? Based off all the Carfax reports I have seen, I assume the 2019's will be arriving at dealers in another 60 days or so, which is why just in the past few weeks there has been some wiggle room on price.

FWIW - I am currently driving a 2009 G37s and am giving this car to my nephew.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

From my understanding it's a software issue and does not require the part to be replaced. You have full warranty on the car so they will give you a loaner if needed.
