I am happy to report that I am at 34,000 miles now and got 31 MPG this last tank. Great mileage for this "big" car . At first, the mileage was disappointing and didn't change much for a while but maybe I had a long break-in period. It is now getting better mileage than my old Neon that weighed less did. And I ordered new Cooper CS4 Touring tires. I will let you know how they are when they come in and get mounted.

Mine is at almost 32,000 miles and will be three years old in a few weeks. 32-34 mpg ever since I bought it. Thrifty, roomy, and reliable.

Glad to hear you're getting good mileage, Shadow.

Think I am getting in the mid 20's here. I have 6500 miles so far. In DC traffic also.

2 things I noted for MPG.

CAI did indeed add ~1mpg. Lightweight wheels also added ~1mpg.

That said, Anything better than the 12MPG with 93oct I get on my SVT-Lightning is a bonus.

11,900 on my second one, after 3-1/2 months, and I'm getting about what I did on the last one through 99,000 miles. Actually a little better, comparing similar times of the year on my mileage spreadsheet. That tells me that driving style and local conditions do make the biggest difference.

Well you know what they say. Your mileage may vary. I got a little lucky I guess. I'll also note that my car is stock so I don't know what the difference would be with mods but oh well.

On another note, I mounted the CS4 Touring tires. I oversized them to 205/65/15 for a little extra ground clearance. They fit perfect and make the car look a little better (more meat to fill in the wheel gap). I kept the H speed rating to not decrease the handling even though the T had higher treadwear. I'm aware that gas mileage may go down but part of it would be the revolutions per mile decreasing. But on to how they ride. They are a little quieter and smoother than the Continentals and seem more connected to the road. No balance issues. No dramatic change but I like them so far. We'll see how they do in the long run.

Yea, car's dirty and the pics are from my cell phone.

Looks like you're going to be going offroading!

Doesn't look bad, just looks tall.

The extra meat would of raised it by an inch. It does fill the gap though.

Best I could do without doing something drastic like going to a Rogue. It has helped though.

Also, it has finally gone into the dealership today after getting tired of that damn steering wheel pop that seem to affected a lot of Versas including mine now. I still have it with me because they had to order the part. Lower steering joint assembly or something like that. Seems to be the real solution reading through posts about it. I hope this fixes it. I have no other problems besides this but it's enough to make the car feel cheap

can you let me know how much the lower steering assembly will cost (I know it is a free item for you under warranty)

I didn't ask the dealer how much it normally costs but on courtesy parts, it's listed at $128. Oh and it appears to have fixed the popping. I really hope that was the permanent fix for it. Knock on wood. I'm happier driving my car now and it feels again like I'm driving a higher level car.
